On (Thursday 24th July 2025) I had my 12-month ECG appointment at Manchester Royal Infirmary. we arrived at the hospital and then had to try find where we had to go as we are still unsure of the layout of the hospital once we found where we was going I checked in and just a few minutes after sitting down I get called in to go for my ECG which shows the rhythm of the heart.

This only took a couple of minutes, so I then went back to the waiting room and just as we sat down I get called in for my other ECG (Echocardiogram) this is the type where they see the Heart in detail on the monitor.
These tend to last no more than 30mins but this one lasted a while maybe close to an hour as the person doing the ECG was taking his time doing in depth checks taking lots of photographs and measurements of my heart, I have to go back around 7th Aug for my results.
Due to the backlog with appointments i tend to have my ECG and then go and see my cardiologist right away for the results and to talk through the ECG results with me, but due to backlog in appointments this was not possible. Once i get my results i'll have to attend the Hospital again to speak with my Cardiologist then I'll provide further updates and to see what the next steps are.
As always as part of this Health Journey here is a short Video of my ECG, I was in there a while and the person asked if i wanted a pillow part way through we i said yes made it much more comfy for me he started to check from my stomach up towards my heart and then down my throat looking down at the heart after that I was moved onto my side so he could check all around the chest capturing various angles of the heart.
