Update Is On The Way

I just wanted to share a quick update about the website and let you know about some big changes I’m currently working on behind the scenes.

Over the coming weeks, jimmycarter.co.uk will be going through a full redesign and refresh. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, and I’ve finally decided it’s time to give the whole website a proper update rather than just making the odd small change here and there.

The plan is to redesign and improve all pages across the website, refresh older content, add new pages and sections, introduce new features, and start building member-only areas for extra content and future updates. In short, the website is getting a full overhaul from top to bottom.

Why the website may be down

Because this is such a big update, there will likely be times when the website is temporarily offline while I work on it. Some pages may disappear for a while, some may look unfinished, and there may be moments where the site is unavailable altogether while I’m updating things properly behind the scenes.

I know downtime can be frustrating, especially if you regularly check the website for updates, news, photos, adventures, health posts, or volunteer work, so I wanted to give everyone a heads-up in advance rather than have the website suddenly vanish without explanation.

What I’m working on

This update is about much more than just changing the look of the site. I want to make the website feel cleaner, easier to use, better organised, and more enjoyable to explore whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been following my journey for a while.

Some of the changes I’m working on include:

• redesigning the overall look and layout of the website

• updating and refreshing existing pages across the site

• adding brand-new pages and more content

• improving navigation and making everything easier to find

• introducing new features and improvements behind the scenes

• creating member-only areas for exclusive content and future extras

• making the website feel more modern while still keeping it personal

Why I’m doing it

Over time, the website has grown into a place where I share a lot of different parts of my life, from adventures, photography and volunteering to health updates, streaming, projects and more. Because of that, the site has naturally expanded over the years, and now feels like the right time to rebuild it properly so everything fits together better.

I want the website to be a better reflection of who I am, what I do, and the things I share with everyone. I also want it to be easier for visitors to browse around, keep up with updates, and enjoy the content without the site feeling cluttered or outdated.

What to expect next

Once the update is complete, the website will have a fresh new look, updated pages, new sections, extra features, and more room for me to keep building on things in the future. The member-only side of the website is also something I’m looking forward to working on, as it’ll give me a chance to offer extra content and new ideas down the line.

For now, I just wanted to say thank you for your patience while I work on everything. I really do appreciate everyone who visits the website, reads the posts, follows the adventures, supports what I do, or simply checks in from time to time.

There’s a lot to do, but I’m excited about where the website is heading and I’m looking forward to sharing the new version with you all once it’s ready.
